Safety pays
Builders Mutual is one of the few carriers that offers a dividend to its policyholders. Since 1984, we are proud to have returned over $75 million in dividends. To help make that possible, Builders Mutual offers free safety programs and education to help policyholders reduce losses and qualify for dividends. Safer job-sites mean more productive job-sites, as well as a chance for reduced premiums and a dividend at the end of the year.
The dividend distribution in 2024 totaled $3.3 million. This is a direct result of our policyholders’ conscientious efforts to make safety a priority.
Ratings
On May 3, 2024, A.M. Best Company, the leading source for information on the financial condition and operating performance of insurance companies worldwide, reaffirmed Builders Mutual’s rating of A "Excellent" for the 25th consecutive time.
In A.M. Best’s Rating Rationale Summary, Builders Mutual’s balance sheet was categorized as “Strongest,” supported by its risk-adjusted capitalization, conservative reserving practices, consistent leverage metrics, and favorable liquidity.
